The Southeast Iowa Regional Economic & Port Authority exists to create new economic development opportunities in Lee County and Southeast Iowa. SIREPA seeks to encourage growth by removing obstacles to capital investment and lowering fixed costs for private companies in the region by using bonding, financing, and ownership abilities.
our ABILITIES
SIREPA is one of three port authorities in the State of Iowa and has unique capabilities to foster and support economic growth in Lee County. State legislation enables SIREPA to establish and operate Foreign Trade Zones, issue revenue bonds, make loans, own and lease property, and more. SIREPA's tax exempt status provides additional opportunities for public and private collaboration.
